HEATHER TAYLOR GRIFFITH, LCSW, CPC
I’m a coal miner’s daughter who grew up in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. My dad could fix just about anything, not because he had the newest tools (or even Home Depot or YouTube), but because he was curious, resourceful, and willing to figure things out. I noticed how neighbors shared their gifts and talents — whether it was fixing a car or knowing exactly when to plant and harvest the perfect tomatoes for canning. I saw how those collective strengths built and strengthened our community in a way no one person could have done alone.
That early lesson, that collective strengths drive lasting success, has shaped my entire career. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and former executive leader in state government, I’ve led high-performing, connected teams and navigated seasons where trust needed rebuilding, alignment was off, and connection had to be renewed.
In my leadership roles, I saw firsthand that when people feel valued, their strengths are recognized, and they can show up authentically, relationships strengthen and results follow. Teams become more engaged, more collaborative, and more committed to shared success.
Today, as a consultant, facilitator, and certified coach, I help leaders and teams lead from who they are, not just what they do — creating environments where people feel safe enough to be real and stretched enough to grow, leading to stronger relationships and better results.
