HEATHER TAYLOR GRIFFITH, LCSW, CPC
Heather Taylor Griffith is a consultant, facilitator, and Gallup®-certified Strengths Coach with expertise in optimizing leadership and team dynamics to drive organizational success. Heather believes that leaders set the tone for their teams, creating ripples that inspire growth or hinder potential in and beyond the organization. Through her Safety & Stretch Leadership® framework, Heather helps leaders and teams unlock their full potential, resulting in stronger relationships and tangible outcomes.
Growing up as a coal-miner’s daughter in rural southwest Virginia, Heather’s Appalachian roots developed her ability to notice the potential in people. She grew up in a community that was created and sustained by the unique, authentic, and tacit wisdom and talents of the people who lived there. She saw the giftedness in people that came so naturally to them, even when they didn’t see it themselves. Heather learned how to slow down and attune to people around her. She carried that with her and began to notice her true passion and purpose was to be present with people and create space for them or them to reconnect with their most authentic selves and lead from that place. What inspired her the most, was the ripple effect that followed– when people experienced this way of being and doing, they were inspired to provide it for others.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Heather brings over 15 years of experience in both direct services and leadership roles. She began her career providing direct services in community settings, later advancing into executive leadership in state government. Heather led statewide initiatives, drove data-driven program outcomes, fostered team development, and strengthened cross-system collaboration to improve services for children, young adults, and families.
Along the way, Heather saw the quiet weight many high-achieving leaders carry—the self-doubt, the imposter syndrome, the pressure to always have it together. She combines her clinical insight with lived experience to people move from self-doubt, overwhelm, and uncertainty to clarity, confidence, and connection.
