HEATHER TAYLOR GRIFFITH, LCSW, CPC
I’m a coal miner’s daughter who grew up in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. My dad could fix just about anything, not because he had the newest tools (or even Home Depot or YouTube), but because he was curious, resourceful, and eager to figure things out.
I noticed how neighbors shared their gifts and talents, whether it was fixing a car or knowing exactly when to plant and harvest the perfect tomatoes for canning. Those collective strengths built and sustained our community in ways no one person could have done alone.
That early lesson taught me that each person brings unique strengths and a unique story that shape their life, work, and relationships. It influenced what I notice, how I listen, and how I understand people in relationship to one another. I’ve carried that with me into my work.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, former executive leader, and certified coach, I’ve worked at the intersection of people and systems. I’ve spent years working with individuals, leaders, and teams who carry significant responsibility, are navigating change, or are seeking meaningful growth.
Today, I work with leaders, teams, and individuals through leadership experiences, facilitated group work, and individual therapy. I design and guide experiences that create space to slow down, reflect, strengthen connection, and move forward with clarity and intention.
This work is grounded in the Safety & Stretch Leadership® philosophy, the balance between creating enough safety to be real and enough stretch to support growth. It is the foundation of how I shape experiences, hold conversations, and support people and systems through growth, transition, and meaningful change.
