Thoughtfully designed experiences that create space for reflection, connection, and forward movement.

Who This Is For

This work is for leaders, teams, and groups who want intentional space to step out of the day-to-day and focus on how they’re working together, something that’s often hard to make space for in the pace of daily work.

This may be part of an annual retreat or offsite, or in response to a season of growth, transition, or change, when the usual ways of operating no longer quite fit and there’s a need to pause, realign, and move forward more intentionally.

You may be navigating evolving roles, shifting dynamics, the desire to deepen trust, communication, and connection, better leverage individual and collective strengths, or gain clearer direction around strategy and goals.

What We Often Focus On

Each retreat or offsite is custom designed around the people in the room and what matters most to them. Some common areas of focus include:

  • Strengthening trust, communication, and group norms

  • Navigating difficult conversations and conflict

  • Executive team alignment and strategy

  • From doer to leader transitions

  • Aligning values with strategy and daily practice

  • Leveraging individual and collective strengths

  • Leading through growth, change, or uncertainty

This list is not exhaustive. The work is shaped by the needs and goals of each group.

What These Experiences Create

These retreats and offsites create space for honest conversation, reflection, and meaningful forward movement.

Each experience includes a thoughtfully designed agenda tailored to the people in the room, their goals, and what matters most.

The work often supports:

  • clearer shared direction and priorities

  • deeper trust, communication, and connection

  • greater awareness of individual and collective strengths

  • more grounded decision-making

  • practical next steps that translate insight into action

The intention is to create the balance that allows connection and forward movement to carry back into the day-to-day.

I’ve partnered with leaders, teams, and organizations across for-profit, nonprofit, higher education, healthcare, government, and professional services to design and facilitate meaningful retreats and offsite experiences.

Who I’ve Had the Honor to Work With

Real Stories. Real Impact.

Heather created space for me to reflect, dig deep, and realign with who I am—both as a person and as a leader. Uncertainty is a constant in nonprofit work, and in leadership more broadly, but the wisdom and exploration of self that Heather so expertly offered, grounded me. I now feel more secure, centered, and confident in my leadership, no matter what challenges arise. Working with Heather is one of the best investments you can make in your whole self.”

— Nonprofit Executive Director

“Heather has a presentational style that is expert-quality yet so personal and warm. She made people feel at ease which allowed for openness and honest discussion. Heather made the material highly relevant to how their strengths can contribute to creating a positive culture. I recommend her highly!”

— Judge Steve Hornsby

“It was truly transformational. It helped me reconnect with my purpose, lead more authentically, and grow in both confidence and clarity. The tools, relationships, and self-discovery I gained have impacted not just my work — but my whole life.”

— Sandy, Graduate of Leadership Academy

The Safety & Stretch Leadership® Approach

My work is guided by the Safety & Stretch Leadership® philosophy, the balance between creating enough safety to be real and enough stretch to support growth.

When people feel both supported and appropriately challenged, conversations deepen, learning expands, and meaningful change becomes possible.

This approach creates environments where reflection leads to insight, connection strengthens, and intentional action carries back into daily work.
